Sophie was found abandoned in the street. She was small, fragile and petrified. She had little fur left due to mange, and her skin was cracking and covered in scabs. The smell that emanated from her was almost unbearable. Our team was able to rescue her, and took her to the vet right away. Besides her obvious skin condition, Sophie was malnourished, anemic, had Ehrlichia and needed a lot of medications and care to save her. She was also a bit aggressive toward other dogs, probably as a protective mechanism. Sophie was lucky, and NAC made sure her veterinary care was taken care of while her fosters provided lots of love and patience. She was even given dog training lessons! Soon Sophie transformed into an adorable pup, and was adopted by a loving family. We could not be happier for her!
